Every time I boot the system I get this mIRC chat window, I removed it from the add/remove but it still comes up at start-up. It is gone from the add/remove, how do I get rid of it.

search for mirc.exe on oyu harddrive and in the registry. Remove as needed. I'd like to see the script that runs with it heh....

Look for the offending key and delete it. Be careful when deleting/modifying the registry.

Sounds like you have an IRC trojan. Look in your running applications for 'taskmngr.exe'. That's a giveaway that you have the lastest and greatest(?) version. A scan with updated virus software should do the trick. Otherwise, go to the symantec website and use the directions for manual removal.
