Ok, my machine locked up the other day (Yes, I crashed win2k - wooo hoo !!! ) and the start menu stuck about half-way faded in. IT LOOKED BAD ASS ! Half faded menus would kick ass ! Seriously, I did not even realize how cool it would be until my puter crashed. Is there a program or a reg-hack that allows fade setting of menus ? I dont see why not ! Please EMAIL me if you know anything... Ohh yeah, also, the WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL logo (As well as WINDOWS 98, blah blah) on the start menu is a BMP, cause I have played with changing it before in win95- Is there a program or reg hack to change the logo in 2k or is it part of the shell ? Can explorer be hexed to change ? Just though I would ask before I started doing it :) Please emial me ! Thanks.

OK, as far as the logo, nevermind, cause I figured it out (HEX) - I am still wondering about the half-fade stuff. I think that would be neat ... Plz email me if you know how to half fade menus.

I am not sure but I think you may be talking about this:
Open Display properties, Click the Effects button at the top of the menu, From here you can see " Visual effects " and " Fade effects "

No, no, no, I mean how to fade the fade effects .....
When the menu fades in, it fades in all the way - I want to half-fade so it is semi-transparent and you can see through it....
