media player won't play media

I have upgraded media player 9 and upgraded to internet explorer 6. When I start the media player I can see the Media Guide and I can search for radio stations and the like, but I can't connect to the radio stations or any similar internet based media. Not sure if it will help but I get an error message c00d1329. Any help would be appreciated.
