map network drive

Hi everybody!
When I map a network drive I checked the box reconnect at logon. I must use a different username when connecting to the mapped drive. But everytime I logon on my computer I must enter the password, even though I entered that infomation when mapping. When I use winXP I don't have this problem so it must be a win 2000 issue. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I log on as Administrator on my computer but use different username and password on the mapped drive, but that shouldn't make any problem.

its probably because when you log on, you're using a different username than the one specified for connecting to the drive; try setting the password to the drive the same as the one you use for the acct. with which you login

I tried to change that but it didn't help. And as i wrote before it doesen't matter if I have different username/password. When I use win Xp I don't have this problem.
