Hi all,
I really need some help with this one. I use ebay quite a lot to buy and sell items. My XP PC at home works great but my win2000 PC at work has developed a dislike to Ebay and I've tried everything I can think of to sort it but to no avail.

The problem is, whenever I try to do anything other than search for items, I just get weird screen errors. If I try to 'Watch' an item, for example I get and error saying that my browser isn't accepting cookies but my cookies option is set to accept all cookies. If I try to log onto 'MyEbay' I get some sort of HTML error. My machine and software are all up to date, I have done a 'spybot' check and adware checks. I have even tried reinstalling IE6. This is a big problem for me because I can't keep an eye on anything that I'm selling or buying. It's only this site that I have this problem with. My collegue sat opposite me also has the same problems but the other 5 people in the office using the same machines do not.

Please please help me

Many thanks in advance

GaryM

If the other five people in your office aren't running anything like SpybotS&D, SpywareBlaster, or any other ACTIVE spyware blocker then chances are one of those programs is blocking some cookies or ActiveX controls taht it thinks are bad. Taking a look through the block lists might uncover more info on that...

Thank for your responces. I am using Firefox for Ebay only and there is some improvement although I'm still getting quite a few odd errors.

As for the Spybot etc. I've put this software one especially to try and sort this problem out. I had this issue with ebay before I installed any spyware stuff but I will look through the block lists incase it comes up with anything.

I've searched the this forum and the globe for an answer on this and I've found quite a few people with the same problem but they are not getting the answers to fix the problem.

I thought I was close when I searched through the Microsoft Archives because they appeared to have 'fixes' with descriptions that would suit my problem but the 'fixes' didn't seem to do anything at all.

Regards
