Comment:

I am having a problem with my LP1 port. For some unknown reason the printer drivers disappeared and I cannot reinstall them. I get errors indicating that the PORT is unavailable. However, when I go to the device manager, the LP1 PORT indicates that it is enabled.

Please help.
Thanks
Farag

Try changing the LPT port type in the bios from what it is currently set to. If it is set to bi-directional change it to ECP or vice versa.

Can you check whether the Print Spooler service is running in the services ?
Bcoz if its not running, it gives these kind of errors.
