Comment:

I turned on my computer and noticed the windows 2000 browser window appeared (like what you get when you do a new install of windows). Strange. Anway I clicked it away and went to go on the internet and found that my internet user name & password have dissappeared along with my emails in Outlook
Express. Also my internet favourites and also the java applet that was in my control panel have gone. All my documents are still there however. I got my internet connection and email going again however the internet favourites won't import. It says its successfully done but the favourites do not appear. Would like to know what caused that all to happen and how can I get back my internet favourites. There is nothing setup in the scheduled tasks to run.
Thanks
Ford

It sounds just like the user profile was lost. Is that a stand alone machine or do you have a network w/ a internal domain?
When it booted normally, what user name did you use to login?
