Hi
I got a client ME machine; it picks up a Private IP address. I can ping gateway, ping servers in my network. But I can't connect to the internet I tried ad ware from lavsoft, shred it none worked. I removed IP stack, checked host file
I will hate to re-install Windows.
I checked Proxy settings. None....!

Thank you

What type of Internet connection do you have? How is this computer connected to the network? (Hub, switch, router)

Did this computer ever use to get out on the net or is this a new system?

I would try pinging an outside address such as www.google.com and then and outside IP address. If the www.google.com doesn't work and the IP does work then it is your DNS server settings. Other than that I think I would need more information.

How are you connected to the internet?
