Hoi are you still trying to log onto the local domain of the win2k client rather than the new Active Directory Domain? Also have you tried to log on to the workstation with the servers admin account?

Two possibilities I can think of:
- (GPO) is configured with the "Log on Locally" policy at the domain, site, or OU level. The policy does not have the Everyone group defined.
- The local policy on the local computer has the same GPO defined but does not have the Everyone group defined. Or, Deny Login Locally is set.
