If I'm not mistaken, the script would have to be on each pc instead of on the server.

That would make them avaible to the users to change, delete, etc. Much less secure but should work.

Its very name implies it: "login" script. Since you don't log into a domain inside a workgroup, the scripts must be manually run on each machine.
