Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service

July 8, 2009 at 15:35:14
Specs: Windows 2000 Server
After installing a Lacie Brand USB hard drive, the server needed a reboot in order to install the drivers. After rebooting, I noticed that I am not able to access the Disk Management Console. Upon further investigation, I found that the Logical Disk Manager services had been disabled and that the Disk Manager Administrative service was missing. How do I restore the Disk Manager Administrative service? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check this link; it might be you somehow lost or corrupted a .reg file that controls disk managment.

Saganhill,

Yes, I've tried uninstalling the USB drive and it's still the same. I've seen this link before, but was kind of hesitant about doing it because the affected system is a Windows 2000 server and this link is for Windows XP. What's your thought on that?
