Locked computer

I have a computer that I got from my teacher that she was getting rid of but when I try to sign in it give me the sign in screen and I can't sign in. Any way to bypass it?

She loggedin to the psusd server which is the schools and I cant get in the schools server through my house.

The login should be cached. You should still be able to login with her userid and password. Although without knowing the local Admin userid and password, you may as well just reload the computer.

Maybe I misunderstand but it sounds like you are trying to connect to the school network. Why would we help you do that?

If the teacher owned the computer she can also give you the restore disks so you can restore to factory state.

Just a guess, but I bet your teacher expected you to reload the computer with your own OS rather than theirs.

If you gain access to their OS you also have access to all of their files and personal information.

I just don't think they are willing to do that.

So reload it...
It would actually be quicker than trying to
gain access through other means.

I try to load a new OS but it said disk load failed. I think they blocked it.

You MAY need to change some settings in the BIOS. You may be currently trying to boot from the network, for one thing.

Watch the screens at start up to verify you have a working hard drive in the computer. Set the boot order to CD before hard drive 0.
