Linux Mandrake 8.2

I downloaded Mandrake 8.2 and successfully installed it from the 3 iso cd's. It was working untill I rebooted - now it gets stuck on noninteractive startup (over 1/2 hour, I left it). As a Linux newbee could anyone help me "unstick" it

load linux using a dos bootdisk with loadlin

it might need a re-install of linux.
i also suggest using partition magic to create a linux drive from windows before you do the installation
