I have a Keytronic heyboard, and a logitech pilotmouse+ both PS/2. And a Soltek SL65-FVB mainboard.
When i use W2K i experiencw some problems, with mouse and keyb. I am able to use them both but not at the same time, if I do that they both freeze and I have to restart, the machine. The machine keep on running the system, but I just can't use the mouse or keyboard. I tryed replacing both items one at the tim but it did'nt help, then i tryed using a serial mouse, and then ther is no problem.
Hope someone can help.

This sounds like a motherboard BIOS problem. Have you updated to the latest BIOS version provided by Soltek? Also, make sure your BIOS settings have the PnP operating system set to "no". Finally, make sure you don't have any hardware conflicts under Device Manager.

I have the same problem with my dell presision 410. At the strangest moment my system completely freezes. Although i can't say if it is when i use my keyboard and mouse at the same time. If I ping the machine from another workstation, I get a reply, so the sys is still running. My bios settings are ok, but it is a weird problem even because the only solve is to manually reboot (Ctrl-alt-del doesn't work with a frozen keyboard).
But i do have noticed that it often happens when my sys is trying to display the fading in or out of items (like the right-mouse button menu). Also, the only times it happens is when you are using explorer or internet explorer.

Anyone get any clues as to what is causing this?
