Hi.
I've recently been a victim of some sick prank. Someone posted an adress which opened countless Telnet windows. After that, nothing's been the same. First off, my task manager has been stripped of its title bar and every time I install something it reports this message:
"The procedure entry point SetHandleContext could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL"
Do I have to reinstall Windows for that? I don't wanna try repairing them because I tried that some time ago and the registry was totally screwed up afterwards. Also, I am running a triple boot system (Win2k, Win98SE, MD 9.0). If I do reinstall Win2k, how will this affect my Mandrake 9.0 boot loader? I access the MD 9.0 boot loader, then I choose "Windows" which gives me access to the Windows bootloader amd THEN Windows 2000 run. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Whenever you have a problem, you can usually find an answer to it by typing it into a search engine. Here's what I found:

To resolve this problem, search your drive root and all the folders in your PATH for incorrect versons of .dll files. Delete these incorrect incorrect .dll files.

Possible candidates for incorrect .dll files are (others may exist):

Winsock.dll
Wsock32.dll
Ws2_32.dll
Ws2help.dll

If you do/must re-install windows, you shouldn't have any problems with mandrake booting because the changes on booting Windows will go in your boot.ini which is not looked at when linux boots.

Thanks for the replies. But how do I find out which DLLs have incorrect versions?
