Intersting. I ususally run AVG7 but heard about Kaspersky anti virus and figured i'd scan with it.
It identified a winamp skin (still zipped never installed) i'd downloaded as a trojan dropper. It also identifies the popular EVEREST monitoring program and also AIDA motherboard identifier as trojan downloaders??
The identified event is the same for both.
win32.delf.au. which I did find info on as a backdoor trojan. Here's info on it. http://www.megasecurity.org/trojans/u/unknown/Backdoor.Delf.au.htmlI did NOT find the Kerne132 it mentions anywhere in my system.
I HAVE had changes to my Kernel, User, and Shell files indicated by AVG since windows install but I've read that these changes can occur due to windows updates and patches so I wasn't concerned until this recent find by Kaspersky.
I doubt Everest or Aida are trojan droppers but are they vulnerable? I DO have Everest installed but Aida is just a downloaded program I've never installed or used.
Any thoughts?
