I have been trying to format a jump drive My jump drive has a power point presentation on it which starts automatically every time I insert the drive. My computer recognises it as a separate CD ROM drive which can’t be formatted and the other half is shown as a removable drive which can be formatted. Is there a way to format the whole drive.I tried to log in safe mode from windows to prevent loading of additional drivers but no luck.

Use Disk Management to remove and recreate partitions.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.
