Are there any issues when installing Windows 2000Pro from a computer currently running Windows XP Home. I have tried this before but then I had some strange error on my partitions like dirty flag and files tha was currupted somehow. Is this a common issue or have I done something wrong?
Is there any good way to do this?
I have some speed issue in games and some lag in windows aswell and I want to see if Windows 2000 is any faster or should I say not draining my computer for power.

Make sure you delete the partition when you are at the installation menu where it give you the option to format or delete. Also it is not a good idea to install a different OS on top of another, you usually get issues the it.
