Have you bothered to look in the Windows XP machine's Event Viewer log files to see what's being recorded?

I checked event log and found in XP systems.

Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server cifs/win-dbsrv. No authentication protocol was available.

The Security System detected an attempted downgrade attack for server cifs/win-dbsrv. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. (0xc000005e)".

The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source win-dbsrv.i-link.co.in (ntp.d|192.168.0.7:123->192.168.0.25:123).

The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 29 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.

The time provider NtpClient was unable to find a domain controller to use as a time source. NtpClient will try again in 30 minutes.

So what is the solution for this?

Please help me and thanks for your reply LUCID.

If the time on the workstation is too far out of synch, it won't be allowed access. So check the workstation clock to see that it's set correctly (and it's not accidently set for 2006 or anything like that).

You might also use the Active Directory Users and Computers console and reset the computer account object. There is a password that is changed once in awhile by the machine itself, so that may be corrupted as well.

Maybe try starting a new post and list any relevant Event Viewer log file error codes (Event ID:???)...

Hello All , Lucid,
I have errors in event log in my windows 2000 Adv. server ( Using ADS). please help me to solve this problem.
----------------
Registration of the DNS record 'gc._msdcs.i-link.co.in. 600 IN A 203.77.198.84' failed with the following error:
DNS server not authoritative for zone.

----------------

Because of repeated network problems, the time service has not been able to find a domain controller to synchronize with for a long time. To reduce network traffic, the time service will wait 960 minutes before trying again. No synchronization will take place during this interval, even if network connectivity is restored. Accumulated time errors may cause certain network operations to fail. To tell the time service that network connectivity has been restored and that it should resynchronize, execute "w32tm /s" from the command line.
--------------------
Registration of the DNS record 'gc._msdcs.i-link.co.in. 600 IN A 192.168.0.25' failed with the following error:
DNS server not authoritative for zone.

Please help me to solve this problem , becouse of this i think some of my other system lost connection with Domain.
