Hi, Can anyone help me.I posted this message 3 days back but only one reply.As follows- I am facing a lot of problems these days, 1)on win 2k machine, which i upgraded from 98,i installed some tools,some of them also included antivirus features.After 3-4 days i found my norton 2002 not working,i think some other antivirus utility disabled it.so i uninstalled that,when i tried to install norton 2003,it gives error ''a fatal error has occured''and i cant install that.Also when i go to add remove programs and click on it ,it just shows add removes program on top , nothing else and at the bottom instead of close ' cl&ose'.Also after installation of those utilities My ICS working properly but after few days it works some time some times not,same with winproxy. I think all these problems are because of that utilites but not sure. Is there any way to solve it other than format. also to inform you ,i tried running sfc to find any file corruption but it doesnt show any corrupted file. pls help. latest news, I could uninstall one application. yesterday ICS was working ok.Today proxy is working.Also i could reinstall winproxy, that means windows installer is not corrupt. Suppose if it is corrupted how to fix it?

try going in the registry and put a find of both the anti-virus packages you had and then delete them,making sure you back up the reg of course.had this prob myself and it worked

or you can use reg cleaner that you can find it here http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php but always is better a clean install of your os spesially when you upgrade from win 98 due a different cernel
