Alrighty then,

I just bought/installed my Geforce FX 5200, on my Dell 110. When I rebooted, my cpu wouldn't get past the 2K splash screen. (Assuming this is the IRQ conflict.) I know that there's onboard video on the motherboard. I read somewhere that I need to disable this for my GeForce to work properly.

1. How do I disable the onboard video without losing "sight" of what I have to after that.

2. What IRQ's do the devices need to be set to. (Audio/Video/Modem)

Thanks to anyone who can help with this one.
I appreciate it a lot

usually your computer automaticly disables the onboard vidio card when it detects the agp slot being used. if it didn't you might need to go into the bios and disable it your self another thing you might try is when windows starts booting hit the f8 key and boot into safe mode there you can go into the device manager and see if windows is seeing the wrong video card and remove it if you need to

hey
i dont think its an IRQ conflict. If u can see the video..u already disabled the onboard card. Id go with bradyc and see if u can start it in safe mode or VGA mode. then, install the proper drivers from there.

PS i disabled my onboard graphics by removing a jumper located on the motherboard located next to the videocard brands chipset.
