I'm a little clueless about this, and I don't know where to start. I want to play Warcraft II: BNE over my home network, which uses a router and cable modem and TCP/IP protocol. The thing is, Warcraft II doesn't have an option to play games using this, and wants something called IPX protocol. Can I install the protocol (and how would I do that?), and still have my connection shared with my other computer, printer sharing, file sharing, etc? I have Win2k, and my other computer is running Win98se. The game itself runs fine on Win2k, its the LAN game I'm having problems with.

Yes, you can install it. It should be listed as IPX/SPX protocol (it is for use in Novell networks) You add it through the properties in network neighborhood on your Win 9x systems and and My Network places in Windows 2000. You can run multiple protocols simultaneously.
