How do I find out my computers IP adress. I know my DSL modem's IP adress but I'm having problems with them and I read that the modem and computer IP adress should match so how do I find the Computer's IP adress?

Start > Run > Type 'CMD' > Enter. In the command prompt box type 'ipconfig' or 'ipconfig /all' for more detailed info. If you need to change the IP - right click my network places > properties > right click 'LAN' (or whatever you have called it) > properties > select TCP/IP

only the first 3 octets should match but NEVER the last octet.
so if you have 200.200.200.1 the other would be 200.200.200.2 as and example
subnet mask should be the same for all octets like 255.255.255.0 for example.
