I do not think this is possible in other operating systems. But, in Windows 2000 you do not need to reboot after changing the IP, so it allowed for the possibility of doing this. You can setup network connections much like modem connections in Win98. This means that if you are at work, you can have a work setting that you double-click on, but when you come home, you can have another home network settings. In the network control panel, I think that there is something that says add new connection, and this wizard may help you.

Yes. The caveat is the IP addresses must be assigned to the same network segment or segments that are part of a single logical network.
