I have my laptop connected to a desktop with a crossover cable. The desktop has no modem. I am wondering how I can get the desktop to use the external IP address provided when I connect to the net, and share that connection with the laptop. SInce it has no modem, I can't dial out, but the laptop does???

This is so I can VNC to the desctop from outside my home? When I share the connection from the laptop, users can VNC to my laptop but not the desktop connected by the crossover?

Any help sure would be great
