Ok...i know this will sound quite of stupid but i just get stuck on this sort of stuff often. So i had my windows 2000 running nicely(no viruses) until i tried to create a dual-os with win 98..well i forgot i didn't had my only disc partitioned, but i tried the setup from the win 98 boot cd anyway...it asked me if I wanted to deleted alredy present stuff, answerd no of course setup goes on until the point the reboot my computer then win 98 install pops up again and wants to format c or quit setup...hell quit setup...but the when i wanted to start up win 2000 normaly it says "invalid system disc" and my HDD is all of a sudden the primary slave with no master. Other stuff boots normaly thou...maybe it happend becose i tried out of fun to boot with the support of win 98 cd... :(

To dual boot 98 and 2000, it's recommended you install 98 first, and then 2000 so that the 2000 boot record doesn't get overwritten.
Just start again, installing 98 first.

Boot from 2k cd try to run repair process lets hope that the repair process will find yor previos instalation of 2k if it goes smoothly you will not loose any files. Just to be shure that you have full backup of your data unhook the hdd and put it as a slave drive on win2k or xp machine backup your files and put it back in your computer.
