Windows keeps track of the CD-ROM drive that the Windows Installer last accessed and automatically looks at that drive for installation files. If you reconfigured your computer and changed the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive, then this error message will result.
There are two ways to fix this problem.
Install the software from the hard drive
Modify the CD-ROM configuration (Windows 98/Me only)
Installing from the hard drive is the easiest solution and is only a drawback if you are short of available disk space. Modifying the CD-ROM configuration is more complicated and will only work if the invalid drive is not being used by another device.
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. Click the Device Manager tab.
4. Click the plus sign ( + ) to expand the CD-ROM entry.
5. Right-click the CD-ROM entry (usually identified by manufacturer and model).
6. Click Properties.
7. Click the Settings tab. A window similar to the following appears:
8. Under the "Reserved drive letters" section change the Start and End drive letters to the invalid drive letter stated in the error message. For example, if the invalid drive was drive F, then set these two boxes to F.
9. Click OK to close the CD-ROM Properties.
10. Click OK.
11. Restart Windows
Search REG for H:\ see what you find

Thanks Mr Wizard,

The tabs I have are: General-Properties-Advanced Settings-Driver and I don't see any "Reserved drive letters"...Where else could I find it?
