Subject: internet options home page address

Comment: Hi all, I have a web site that apparently knows more about windows 2000 than I do. They have installed their address as my home page address. I have changed it in the internet options menu and that works while I am booted in that session but when reboot their site is back as my home page. I would guess that they have set something in my registry but which one and what do I do about it. This is really painful as I shut my computer down every night. THX MUCH Aquaman1957

Reply: (edit)From the command line, type REGEDIT, and use the FIND option to locate and delete keywords from the URL that keeps appearing in IE. Before making any changes using regedit, install the RECOVERY CONSOLE (go to HELP ---> INDEX and type in RECOVERY CONSOLE for installation procedures.) If you screw up and delete the wrong entry in the registry, you will need the recovery console to regain controll of your O/S (computer).
