Hello everyone. When I try to get onto the itnernet, the page comes up for a few seconds (partially loaded) and it's gone and all I have is my desktop. I changed home page but that didn't help. I put up a blank home page and that loads OK but when I try to put in a web address (even when clicking on Favorites) I'm back to my desk top. I ran a full virus scan and everything came up clean and I also did a defrag. Now what? Thanks for any help.

Does it do this for all profiles? What browser are you using? Have you tried another one?

Jennifer: it's doing it for all the web pages I have tried. Using IE. Which one do you think might work better?
Thanks in advance.

You could try Firefox, but does this happen with all profiles, or just the one you normally use as login?

It seems that no matter what web site I click on, it starts to load and then it disappears and all I am left with is the desktop. Probably if I click on the site to download Firefox, I won't be able to get on it. (p.s.--I'm using a friend's computer to be able to do this) I have heard that Firefox is good.

You still haven't answered my question; does this behavior recur on ALL profiles?
