after installing new WIN2000 Professional i can not get my explorer (either 5 or 6) downolad any files. Even it does not want to downolad from Microsoft site. I am getting message: "Internet Explorer cannot download ie6setup.exe from download.microsoft.com - Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later". So IE by Microsoft cannot find microsoft site!!!!! - what's wrong???
On other hand I do not have any problems accesing this (and other) site through Netscape6.

you can get a bit more information as to why you can't download a file by going into your temporary internet files and searching for any files that start with
?CodeDownloadErrorLog (sort by name and they will all be right at the top b/c of the ? in the begining)

drag some of these files to the desktop and open them. there will be a "code download error" at the top which may give a clue as to why the files are not downloading.
