My IE used to start up, but something must have happened and I don't know what. I'm not a computer wizz, so please go easy on me. I click on the icon and my computer just sits there and does nothing. I have run Adaware and spy-bot but it didn't help. I have Netscape Navigator and it works fine, but I really want my IE back!!! can anyone please help me? someone said it is a boot up virus somewhere in the registry but that is over my head.

Two things:
Some versions of Internet Explorer, when you go to Add/Remove Programs to uninstall IE, give you a "repair" option.
or
Download the latest version from Microsoft and install it over top of the old one.

I have now overcome this problem by doing the following.
1. Right click the Internet Explorer icon. 2. Click on the Properties. 3. Go to the Advanced tab 4. Uncheck the box 'Enable third-party browser extensions'. 5. Restart the IE.
Hope this will help.
