Hey guys.
I'm having a problem with my Windows 2000 and in particular, my Internet Explorer 6. Every time I try to view another web page, it locks up for 15-20 seconds. I did a virus check and did discover a "Dialer" virus, so I removed that but it's still locking up.
I've also downloaded some software called "Hijack This" but I have no clue how to understand the log file that it printed out about my computer. What should I do?Thanks in advance.

Before posting any HJT log report you MUST have run at least
1. Spybot Search and Destroy
www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download2. Ad-aware
www.lavasoftusa.comDownload both and immediately update them to the latest files then run them. Remove what they find - marked RED in Spybot
Have you got Spywareblaster?
www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html
Download it and update AFTER you have used the previous programs. No need to run it manually it runs in the background to keep much stuff off your system. When you've done this then go to the Security forum and post your HJT log, stating what you want info on AND that you have already tried the above programs.
The suggested programs are ALL FREE!!!

I 'ad that dialer virus ...after my virus protection deleted it....it was still there, using the name "project1" and another name, cant quite remember now ....found a solution on google.com, but still couldn't remove it .....you do a search, maybe you'll understand it better than me ....I ended up formattin' to be rid of it.
