Dear Sir,
I have windows 2000 pro installed with internet connction (cable). I have another pc in a network with win 98.
I want to share internet in win 98 what to do ?
I have enable internet connection sharing on win 2000 pc and installed internet connection sharing thorugh lan on win 98 machie still unable to browse from win 98
Please help me

What are you using to connect to the Internet? Dial-up/DSL/Cable Modem or connected to the ISP using a CAT5 cable.

Secondly, do u need to use a proxy on the win2k system to connect to the internet.

Based on these queries a suitable answer can be given.

get a ethernet adapter in each system.

using cat5 cable, using cross cabling connect both.

give normal windows sharing in the system where internet is connected.

will make the main system with ip as 192.168.0.1 and set the ip address of win98 sys as "to obtain ip address automatically"

will solve the purpose.
