When I reach the screen where I need to enter my connection name I get an error that the name I am entering is not valid.

The fix is like this: Go to Control Panel then Administrative Tools then to Services then to Remote Access Connection Manager .Make sure its set on Automatic. Re boot this should do the trick

I am getting the same error. Remote Access Connection Manager is set to automatic. As a result I am unable to make a dialup connection.
