One guy has Win2k and IE 5. When Internet Explorer is lanunced, it opens two windows. Does anyone know why? I turned his double click speed all the way down and it still does it. Any suggestions. Thanks!

Is he double clicking on the small Icon at the very bottom in the taskbar? (Quicklaunch) If so, he will get the two screens.

Ok one more thought then.

Go to start->Settings and then down to Active Desktop to customize my desktop. Click on Folder options and see if it is set to Web Style. If it is, that enables single click opening of desktop icons, so double clicking would open it twice.

Hope that helps.

I doubt that's it. This is my boss asking...He tells me to fix it, then when I send him emails asking it this is the case he tells me not so spend time on it?????

Why do people tell you things then say don't worry abou it? I hate that!!!!!!!!!!!

I would assume that's not the case though...

Then thats about all that I can think of, is it only with IE, or with all applications?

If its only IE, have him single click it, see if it does anything. If it does nothing, then it should be highlighted (selected/blue/whatever you want to call it) Make sure it is "highlighted" and have him hit enter, see what that does.

No, he's just said it's doing it with IE. I'll check it out. He's going on vacation so I'll look at it then. I just figure there might be a bug with a quick fix. Thanks...
