My Intel Easy PC Camera was installed fine on my computer when winME was installed. I changed to Win2k and now when I try to install the software it says its alreay installed and cannot continue. I found no intel software for the camera and i went into device manager and uninstalled it and let it detect it again and same problem. Anyone know how to fix this and/or and other camera software that will work with this camera?
Thanks in advance,
-Frank

Hi Frank,
Out of curiosity...did you happen to check Add/Remove programs (Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs) and check to see if the camera software shows in the list of installed software?
If you did an upgrade to Windows 2000 the program should still be installed. However, it might have corrupted during the upgrade process in which case you could use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the camera software and then reinstall as you have been trying to do.
If your 2000 installation was a fresh install to a formatted drive, well, still check and see if the program is listed and remove and reinstall if it is...other than that I don't know.

Try to uninstall the program from safe mode if possible, otherwise go the the vendor manifacturer website and see if you can find information how to mamual uninstall the software.

I found out what the problem was...its that for the imaging program (Start>Programs>Accesories>Imaging) it uses the intel software (old version) for the twain device. It is not in the add remove programs and I cant find where the program is. To access it you use the twain option in the program. How could I uninstall this program?? Its not on the add/Remove program listing and i cant find it on the hard drive either.
Thanks,
-Frank
