Ok, I converted my 6.0 GB drive to Fat 32 and tried to install Windows 2000, did not work, I got an error on installation which lead to do the next thing. Next, I tried NTFS. When I tried copying Win 2000 to the drive, it said "autochk.exe was not copied correctly" The file setup placed on your hard drive is not a valid Windows 2000 system image". The drive is error free and is working correctly. Any Suggestions what might cause this problem or abnormality? I have installed Windows 2000 many times, but I have never seen this error before. I have tried two different partitions and received two different errors. Please help with any suggestions or any recommendations. I've beat my head against the wall trying to figure this one out and I hate not knowing what is causing this problem. Thanks, Mark

Try changing the RAM. Swap compatible RAM from another PC and see if the install proceeds properly. Also verify the integrity of the W2K install CD...either could cause the problem you are experiencing.
