Hi I have a interesting problem..
I got a older labtop . Compaq 600mhz something. And I am trying to put windows 2000 on it. Simple enough.. But heres there problem...
It doesn't have a working CD-Rom dirve
or A network card.Just floopy drive and a Phone modem Plug it.
It has a USB plug and I got a USB drive but it doesn't seam to see the USB drive when I boot it up. Any idea on how I could install windows 2000 on this sucker?
THanks
T-boy

You will need to take the laptop drive out, put it in a drive cage connected to a pc. Copy the w2k cd contents to the drive. Put the drive back in the laptop. Boot up and run winnt from the i386 folder to start install.
Your big concern is you need the laptop 2000 drivers which will need to be on the drive also.
