Comment: Hi, I am trying to install win2000 over win ME. I would like to know, if there is a installation guide/run-book for doing the same. Also what sort of precautions do i need to take? any help would be greatly appreciated tks jayant

Reply: (edit)No guide is needed. If you want to install win2k over winMe I suggest you reformat the drive and install win2k clean on the hard drive. If you install over WinMe you may have problems. Also you may want to have win2k drivers for your video/sound/nic etc on hand before you install win2k incase you have problems. Any further questions, feel free to email me. Robert

Reply: (edit)You're always better off with a clean install as Microsoft hybrids seem unable to cope very well, emerging blinking into the light like frightened inbred chicks before falling down and expiring quietly, with barely a whimper to mark their passing. If you've got stuff you want to keep though, the upgrade is thoretically possible as long as the Euclidean n-space time/energy constraints are not violated
