hey everyone....i posted a question a month ago....and now i have the answer and i'm posting it for anyone who needs it. in order to install an application as a service (i.e....dos based, etc.), you can use tools from the resource kit. there is a command to use at the dos prompt, as well as a GUI wizard one. they are called: instsrv.exe, and srvinstw.exe you can download them at microsoft. i hope that helps someone!!!!
