Hello everyone,
I will be installing Windows 2000 Adv Srv onto an IBM x series 250 server
which is configured with an IBM Netfinity serveRaid controller.I will be proceeding
as follows...Windows NT Server is currently installed...Boot from the serveRAID CD and configure a RAID 5 array.
For the next part i will be installing the OS onto a disk which is NOT
a part of the RAID 5 array i.e a stand alone disk.Once the RAID 5 array is completed i will boot from the Windows 2000 Adv Srv CD to
install the OS.During the installation process does Windows2000 detect
the SCSI controller card or do i have to provide drivers for it manually like
when installing under NT? i.e hit F6 to install a third party driver?alternatively....
Can i install the OS as normal then use the Add New Hardware Wizard to install
the SCSI card if it is not detected during installation?
Thanks all,
Steve

Windows 2000 will allow you to install the drivers pretty much the same way NT did. durring the initial setup push F6 when it says (i think its still F6) and have your diskette ready.
