Situation: Win2000 Pro computer set up originally with a single administrator account with Outlook, Palm (handspring), Word, etc. Setting up on brand new Win2000 server running AD. User's account created on server and successfully logged on to server from the computer. Server username and local administrator account do not use the same name. When logged on as under the network account, the user lost most desktop settings and the Palm software. Able to get Outlook and other Office programs reconnected to network account. Unable to reconnect or even reinstall the Palm software. Tried to add the network user account to the local administrator group unsuccessfully. Kept getting an error that the domain could not be found. This process had already been tried successfully on another Win2000 Pro machine. I would really like to get this resolved without totally rebuilding the machine with a fresh reformat/install of Win2000. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Dale

And make sure you're actually connecting to the server and not running off a cached account...
