I'll respond. There is nothing to it. You can install as many domains as you want. The fact that it/they are on single lans is irrelevant. They don't care. I'm not sure what your question is but again, you can install 1000 domains on a single lan if you want. It just doesn't enter into the equation. If you want to install one domain on multiple lans, then you have to do some configuration on sites and replication etc. On a single lan, it's easy.
Are you running into specific problems or do you have a more specific question?

You will obviously need atleast 1 DC for each domain though.
Create 1 forest which will be the 'main' domain. Then make each extra domain a child domain of that forest domain.
It's quite easy. But not recommended for someone that doesn't really know much about it. Because if you remove that forest controller you will disable the domain structure without knowing it. There's some work that will need to be done to fix it all.
OR
you could just create new forests for each domain, and setup a trust relationship between each of the domains.
Why would you want different domains for the same LAN though? Wouldn't it be easier & better to put each dept under their own OU in AD??!

I'm not addressing the domain planning issues. That is a completely seperate issue and you could write a book on that. The question was about installing multiple domains on one subnet. And like I said, you can install as many as you want. Whether you make multiple domains, child domains, trust relationships etc. is a seperate issue.
