Hi,

I am running a Windows 2000 pro lab that only allows administrator to install softwares. I need to install coldfusion studios and Quickbooks for all users to use, but Coldfusion studios and Quickbooks seem to only allow administrator to use if I install it under administrator. So I keep logging in as administrator for other users to use. Is there a way that I can enable all users to use Coldfusion and quickbooks without installing them under every account?
Thanks.

Johnny

Probably only the shortcuts to the program are under the Administrator profile.
Logged in as administrator, move the shortcuts from
"C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\Start Menu\Programs\YOURPROGRAM"
to
"C:\Documents and Settings\ALL USERS\Start Menu\Programs\YOURPROGRAM"
In other cases, the users may need write access to the C:\Program Files\YOURPROGRAM directory. Making the users member of the "Power Users" local group will remedy that, but is a security risk.
Lastly, worst case, the users may need write access in the HKEY_Local_Machine registry. In that case, you may need to make the users member of the local administrators group.
