I am attempting to install windows 2000 on a hard disk that previously had Linux. I have formatted the hard disk, removed the partitions and then attempted to install w2k. After setup copies the inital w2k setup files and reboots, I get a message that says simply "Grub" - i am assuming the machine is still looking for linux. Can anyone suggest the best way to remove this? Thank-you

Yes> I've had this problem in reverse. Download a demo copy of Ontrack's "Data Eraser" and make a floppy disk. This will blank the drive as if it were new from the factory. If you can't find a demo, email me and I'll send you the program, it's small!
