You have to have WinXP with SP2 in order to use IE7.

QFT. Internet 6 has never been the same on my machine since uninstalling IE 7. For one, it crashes whenever I visit my mail page. I now have to use Firefox for that. IE 7 is a software built around Longhorn/Vista and was basically taken and planted ontop of XP like a bad nosejob. It doesn't belong there and I couldn't agree with you more. I also feel the same about WMP 10 and 11... I'm still happily on 9 over here.

I too have issues with IE6 since unintalling IE7. In my case IE6 seems to lockup for no apparant reason.

I still use WMP 9 when I use it at all.

I didn't think aout IE7 as being the cause of my issues. I am going to seriously consider re-installing XP now.
