Comment: All: I bought a 40gb AT100 hard drive and unsuccessfully getting win2k to detect it. It doesn't have "fdisk" to format the new hard drive. Is there a way to install a second hard drive as 'slave' in window 2000? I know I can do it in win95/98. But win2k is different. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.. sam

Reply: (edit)Assuming you have the drive set up for slave and connected properly, log on as administrator, go to Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> computer Mgmt -> Storage -> Disk Mgmt. You should see all your drives listed here. Right click your new drive to select create new partition, format and drive letter options.
