I frequently get a message that says I need to increase the size of my virtual memory, as my system is low on virtual memory. This will cause my windows to freeze, and I have to control/alt/delete and re-enter...
Does anyone know what I have to do???
Thanks.

Hi,
This is because the SWAP partition you have given is not adequate. The general ratio is the SWAP space should be the double of your current RAM size. So in order to change this, go to my comuter in the desktop and right clik and choose properties. Press on the advanced tab option abd then choose perfomace options button.on Pop up window and set the size some more. ie increase the max. SWAP size. Any doubts, please feel free to ask. Ensure you restart your system to reflect the changes. Bye.

Yup, what Emmanuel said.
The swap file (aka Virtual Memory, aka PageFile) is a largish file that likes to expand & contract: it needs room to breath.
It may be that you have only one disk and it is near to full - so when your swapfile needs more space it ain't there to give. Do some clean-up: right-click any disk-drive letter in Windows Explorer (aka File Manager) and choose
Properties > Tools > Disk Clean-up
and it will likely find all manner of junk files to delete. If you have multiple installed drives (not partitions, but actual, physical drives) then designating swapfile space on a drive OTHER THAN where your system files (win2k) are installed will improve over-all system performance.
