I'm running Win2000, NTFS hard-drive. All of a sudden I started getting an error message of "incorrect ms-dos version" whenever I tried to run "command" from the "run" button on the start menu. CMD still works, but command doesn't. This wouldn't be a problem, but I'm trying to install a program that apparantly goes thru dos to load and it keeps booting out of the command prompt. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The one change I made to the system was that I ran a program that said that it would need to be run to be able to view a certain type of file that was apparantly created when I moved some mp3's over to RW when upgrading from 98 to 2000.

Any ideas?

the "command" you are running is the one left over from win98. look for command.com in the root directory and delete it, that is, if you use win2k alone. or, you may run command from a different folder, which in turn runs win2k's version of command.com, which is set in path.
