I originally had a problem getting a hard drive to work (http://computing.net/windows2000/wwwboard/forum/65277.html) And once it finished installing, it did it's first boot onto W2K. Right after the loading bar fills up, the screen turns blue with an INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error, and it won't go away. Any ideas? BTW: It's a laptop.
I'm not really sure what SATA is, but because it had ATA, I figured it was close to the same? I do know it said it was for a Sager 8890, and was compatible with W2K.
Why would you use a file for a different model computer. Isn't your model a Eurocom D800P Dream Machine? Below is a link for the manual and all the drivers. Just search by model D800P. I am DLoading the manual but thier site is slow so I don't know what you have. Do you have multiple drive bays?
I am not sure what it is. The ONLY label on it is one on the upper right-hand corner of keyboard that says Imperial. But, from what I can tell, multiple bays was optional. There are bay slots, but are taken up by other odds and ends.I did a search for D800P, and thats what I got. I will try slipstreaming these drivers and starting over?
In addition, it would seem that the drivers I download are the same as these. Do I need to slipstream the FASTTRAK and the ULTRA drivers? Just one of them? I slipped them both. Could that have been the problem?
EDIT: Yes, this D800p Dream Machine is the one I'm working on.
I am not sure what your computer is. Laptops normally are not RAID capable. Look at the picture in the link below to see if that is your computer. Appears there are three different named laptops with the D800P model designation. Sager, Imperial, Eurocom.
Finally finished DLoading the Eurocom manual. The picture of the Laptop is the same one as the imperial. That probably means these are rebranded units. I will try to figure out what you need from the manual. Where in the world are you located?
It has to be a Eurocom because none of the Imperial laptops have all the high speed buttons on the front edge of it, nor do the mice buttons look alike.
If you are using more than one hard disk in your computer, make sure to set the jumpers on all your hard disks to the cable select option in order for the system to recognize all the disks (see your hard disk manual or the information printed on the hard disk itself for details on the jumper settings).
Page 45 of the manual shows the primary harddrive bay location.
Be sure you have the drive selected in the BIOS boot order.
On the readme, it says the setup.exe will put the .inf file into a directory if I add an -A at the end...Doing so makes the exe unrecognizable...btw im doing all this on an xp home pc
